E-CONFERENCE

We create spaces on a variety of social networking sites where young people meet to discuss issues and topics that are important to them such as fuel subsidy, Boko Haram crisis, urban development, environmental justice, human rights and climate change. Our discussions are often centered around our thematic focal areas: peace and security; housing and urban governance, economic justice and leadership development.

On December 10, 2011, Spaces for Change (S4C) organized the first-ever e-conference focusing on the fuel subsidy removal policy of the Nigerian government. The debate, which drew contributions from a diverse group of Nigerians across the globe, including North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, conveyed key policy recommendations and alternative options for effectively reforming Nigeria's corruption-laden fuel subsidy regime.
