LEADERSHIP TRAINING: Relationship Intelligence & Workplace Productivity

First introduced by Bernard G. Guerney in the 1960s, Relationship Enhancement (RE)  has for over forty years, proven to be an effective productivity booster  in the workplace and in the home. RE is a skills- based training model that focuses on empowering the individual to excel in their personal and professional relationships.
  
On March 27, 2013, Spaces for Change will be convene an RE training and coaching class targeted at young professionals and entrepreneurs, unemployed graduates, including young school leavers to bolster their employability skills, leadership capabilities and productivity in the workplace. Recognizing that today’s youth can be at the forefront of social change, this training is specifically designed to empower young people to learn new approaches to high performance, sustain corporate and personal relationships, build social capital and become catalysts for change.


Participants will be taught skills that improve their understanding of themselves and others and ways to convey this understanding to each other. As a result they create a shared context in which constructive CHANGE is more likely to occur. Once this relationship context is established, client/participants become more autonomous and can differentiate and ultimately, become more productive, intimate with their colleagues and significant people in their lives. Having learned these skills, and trusting that they can solve their own problems, clients/participants are in better position to find more satisfaction; create more stability in their lives; and are able to deal with life’s crises on their own. RE is not value free: in fact, it is based on important values- such as mutual respect and compassion for each other, which we believe are essential to optimal human development.

 Trainers comprise experts and professional coaches from the United States of America and Nigeria with decades of experience in youth development and career mentoring.

ABOUT THE TRAINERS:


Martin Okpareke is a United States-based certified Relationship Enhancement ® Trainer with over ten years’ experience as a trainer and train-the-trainer expert. The Imo State-born Martin has trained government officials in the states of Missouri and Kansas, helping professionals from different culture, nationality and religion to achieve high performance in their work places. He is a member of the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement and a Trainer of Bridging the Gap. He serves on several boards; Synergy Services - a domestic violence and at risk youth organization, Reconciliation Services - foster parents agency and Office of Community Complaints Commission of the Kansas City Police Department. In 2011, he established KNEM Consultants in Nigeria, providing skills training to Imo State Investment Promotion Agency (ISIPA) staff in Imo State and several for-profit organizations in Abuja, Nigeria. A Public Administration graduate from Park University, Parkville Missouri, Martin is in the fore front of empowering individuals to be change agents using proven skills training to positively impact lives and the community. 

Samuel Babatunde Obafemi has over 11 years’ experience spanning several industries: Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, ICT, and Payment Card infrastructure, Samuel has a huge repertoire of resources that forms the bedrock of solutions. Samuel Obafemi holds several certifications for several areas of expertise. He is a CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), and CompTIA Certified Security Expert (S+)
 
Currently, Samuel is a practising Mind & Emotion Therapist with niche in Emotional Intelligence, Anger Mastery and Peak Performance Coaching. He consults extensively for corporate organizations (including, but not limited to, MTN Nigeria, USAID/GECHAAN Taraba, Fate Foundation, LEAP Africa, Toast Masters International (Eagle Chapter, Lagos), POISE Nigeria Ltd, Ben Idahosa University Benin City, Foursquare Gospel Churches, Redeemed Christian Churches, FETS Mobile Banking Ltd, HATLAB Ice Cream Delite Ltd, Pison Properties and Access Solutions Ltd, etc.), individuals and groups on Business Process Engineering and Strategy. Principally, Samuel develops content for capacity building, training and development, life coaching and business systems enhancement.

Sam is the Publisher of ACTIVATE!!! (A Virtual Daily Post on Mind Power, posted via Blackberry and All Social Media platforms: Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn)) and iACTIVATE!!!
